Andrew Brian Wogan (born 1 December 2005) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for League of Ireland side Drogheda United, on loan from EFL League One side Stockport County.[1]

Career

Youth Career

Born in Ardee, Wogan began his career with Ardee Celtic before joining the academy setup at Drogheda United in 2020.[2]

Drogheda United

After progressing through Drogheda's youth ranks, Wogan signed a new contract with the club on 12 July 2023. He made his professional debut on 5 June 2023 in a 3–2 away defeat against Shelbourne.[3] On 15 April 2024, Wogan signed his first professional contract with Drogheda.[4]

Stockport County

On 8 July 2024, Wogan signed for Stockport County for what Drogheda described as a "club record fee".[5][6] As part of the transfer, he remained with Drogheda United to complete the remainder of the 2024 League of Ireland Premier Division season.

International Career

Wogan has represented the Republic of Ireland at under-19 level, earning 7 caps. In March 2024, he received his first call-up to the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad.[7]
