Rishi S Kumar is an Indian film and television actor, and dancer who works primarily in the Malayalam entertainment industry.[1] He is best known for his lead role in the Flowers TV sitcom "Uppum Mulakum" and as the fourth runner-up of Bigg Boss Malayalam season 6.[2][3]
Career
Rishi S Kumar began his television career as a contestant on the dance reality show "D 4 Dance Season 2" on Mazhavil Manorama. His breakthrough came in 2015 when he was cast as Vishnu (Mudiyan) in the popular sitcom "Uppum Mulakum" on Flowers TV.[4] He played this role until 2023 when he was controversially removed from the show.
In 2024, Kumar participated in Bigg Boss Malayalam season 6, broadcast on Asianet, where he finished as the fourth runner-up.[5]

Controversy
In 2023, Kumar was involved in a public dispute with R Unnikrishnan, the director of "Uppum Mulakum". Kumar accused Unnikrishnan of harassment and expressed dissatisfaction with the show's direction and his character's storyline.[6] The controversy led to Kumar's departure from the show, with media personality Sreekandan Nair later claiming that Kumar was removed due to misbehavior on set.[7]
